After his victory in 2017 Nicola Rohrbach started with number one as the last Rider into the prologue. The weather conditions were getting worse and worse during his race that it was impossible to catch the time of the Riders started earlier into this race.

The following stages he was fighting hard to close the gap to the leader. With a stage win at the last stage he was very close to defend his title. At the end some seconds were missing.
