This was the fun day of the 2018 Absa Cape Epic, but riders still had to go up to earn the right to enjoy the downhills. A lot of single trails made in some sections overtaking nearly impossible. The Teams were fighting hard for the positions to clear the situation for the podiums. There was not much to win at the end for Rohrbach / Geismayr on this stage. They finished 8th and had to let Team Buff Scott MTB pass in the General Classification.
