Hard work and festivities. It was in this scenario that 700 athletes go through more ascents, sharp turns and landscapes of landscapes between the mountains.

It was hard work on Saturday the 16th, for a 14km race with an absurd end source, in the Morro do Santuário Nossa Senhora do Socorro. Where André Gohr overcame not only the competitors but also the steep climb. In the women's Tamires Radatz won in the women's categories.

The big party took place on Sunday, July 17th, all lined up and with 1400km of promotion in the Pro categories, and with 1400km of promotion in the Pro categories, and to complete 29km with 400km of elevation.

Again the champions were André Gohr and Tamires Radatz, but not male, the fight was very tight with Ricardo Pscheidt, three-time Brazilian Mountain Bike champion in second place, coming alongside with André Gohr. The result was created in Photo Finisher.

André stated: “It was a mountain bike class. Riding a mountain bike alongside Ricardo Pscheidt is very pleasant, always updating with that pleasure.”

“The Nova Trento stage has already become a tradition, it is the most complete and fun stage in terms of the route, bringing everything that a real mtb race has to have, a lot of uphill, trails, descents and road. Once again, the entire organization and structure of the event put on a show, showing more and more that the Challenge has already become a reference for mtb events, always bringing the best experience to athletes and the public. Ricardo Pscheidt praised the race and the dispute with André Gohr. “A very cool race, organized and with a route of how the mountain bike marathon should be!”

The city of Nova Trento, welcomes its visitors very well, and the Challenge Chaoyang mountain bike, had the support of the municipal government and brought several cultural attractions to the public present, bands and musical groups.

It was also present at the Chaoyang Challenge from mountain biking to Shimano, and its neutral support team. With maintenance work for athletes who needed help with their pre-race equipment, so they could enjoy the event with peace of mind.

Oakley with a fantastic award to Pro athletes. Tamires, the champion, celebrated the kit and the structure offered a lot, “A weekend with a lot of mountain biking, and this award was awesome!”

Also the partnership with Opa Bier, a brewery that brought a drink especially for cyclists, and distributed gifts and lots of Radler (drink made of beer and lemon with low alcohol content).

The race has athletes of different levels, divided into categories by age group and by modalities, Pro, Sport and Amateurs. Still E-bike and Gravel. There are about 48 categories and the liveliest is the children's category, Kids, from 6 to 12 years old, divided into 2 age groups. A game to start the little ones in the bike world. And they don't give up, they compete meter by meter with the same disposition as adults.

We had the presence of many amateur athletes and among them the always special participation of the great “Obelix”, an example of sympathy and animation with his “phrase of the day”. All of this broadcast simultaneously on the event's social networks, in other words, a true mountain bike party.

“The Mountain Bike Challenge Chaoyang comes at each stage showing a pattern of organization and excellence. And we want to improve and offer participants, in addition to real mountain biking, a family event.” Says Flávio Borges, organizer of the event.
