A beautiful sunrise, a romantic landscape, favorable climate and pleasant temperature. Perfect setting for a vacation? Right? Wrong.
That's how more than 600 bikers challenged themselves in the 53 km and more than 1500m of altmetry in Garopaba and the more than 3,000 spectators of the Chaoyang Challenge edition.

Beaches, roads, many climbs, amazing descents and a paradisiacal landscape. Athletes from all states in southern Brazil came to compete in their categories. Many for their first time, bringing family and friends along for that special support.

Amateurs made a journey of 30km and no less challenging, the overall winner in this category was Antonio Marcos Manfrini, with a time of 1h and 07 minutes, followed by Pablo Silva and Alexandre Oliveira, practically all together. They are athletes from the Junior Amateur category and they decided the results still in the trail part in the final kilometers. In the female categories, the first to arrive were Ana Karolina Steffen, followed by Fernanda Prim and Josiana Coelho.
In the most disputed category, with the presence of professionals, the great champion was André Gohr, who won with a time of 2h and 3 minutes, followed by Marcelo Moser, 2h and 06min and third place was Vinicius de Almeida with 2h and 07min. The Pro path of 53km and 1600m of altitude is the most complete and difficult route of the challenge, with the inclusion of more trails and elevations.
“Congratulations to the organization for yet another impeccable stage, a path that is unlikely to be more beautiful in Brazil. Fantastic Chaoynag structure, beachside look, a complete event for the family. Happy to win another stage and waiting for the next one.” Commented André, general champion and leader of the championship.
In the female Elite, Ana Luisa Panini took the stage with a time of 2h and 38 minutes, followed by Jessica Ribeiro with 2h and 51 minutes and Cristiane Correa Leite in third with a time of 3h and 08 minutes.
Panini commented: “Congratulations on the beautiful event! One of the best tastings in Santa Catarina”.
The event also had categories such as the electric category, which had the record number of participants in a non-specific event for the modality, that is, the category is for participation and open rules for participation. We also had a separate show in the Kids category. Kids is the children's category and is divided into age groups from 3 to 12 years old, where the little ones can participate in a specific route for them and feel part of the event.

The awards took place in the beautiful arena set up on Avenida dos Pescadores, Praia Central de Garopaba and the other results can be accessed on the official website WWW.challengemtb.com.br
